Frequently Asked Questions
Here’s What You Should Know
Straight answers on what we supply, how it’s tested, and who we sell to.
1What is bacteriostatic water, and how is it used?
Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth and allows a vial to be accessed multiple times. It is supplied strictly for scientific and laboratory research, and is not for diagnostic, therapeutic, veterinary or consumer use.
2Is your bacteriostatic water tested for purity?
Yes. All BAC Water Supply products undergo independent third-party testing to verify purity, consistency and quality, and every batch is tested before it ships.
3Where do you ship, and how much does shipping cost?
We currently ship to all 50 U.S. states from our facility in New Lenox, Illinois. Standard shipping is $15, free on orders of $75 or more (2–5 business days); Express shipping is $20 (1–2 business days). Orders placed before 2:00 PM CT on a business day ship the same day. We do not ship internationally at this time. See our Shipping Policy for full details.
4Who can order from BAC Water Supply?
We sell only to qualified researchers, laboratories and institutions. Orders from individuals for personal or recreational use will not be accepted. You must be 18 years or older to place an order.
5What is your return policy?
All sales are final: because bacteriostatic water is a sterile product, we do not accept returns or issue refunds once an order is placed. The one exception is damage in transit — if your order arrives with broken, cracked or leaking vials, email info@bacwatersupply.shop within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photos, and we will send replacement product at no cost. See our Return & Refund Policy for full details.
