Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a preservative that inhibits bacterial growth and allows a vial to be accessed multiple times. It is supplied strictly for in vitro laboratory research and is not for diagnostic, therapeutic, veterinary or consumer use.
